Yesterday (07/May/2009), The W.H.O. and the C.D.C. have reported a total of 2,371 cases of swine flu in twenty-three countries, including 896 in the United States. The flu is expected to spread to all 50 states.
U.S. health officials said Wednesday that those who have been hospitalized in the country have been surprisingly young, but warned against "overinterpretation", because the actual number of hospitalizations has been small.

Today, The W.H.O. and the C.D.C. have reported a total of 3,127 cases of swine flu in twenty-four countries, including 1,639 in the United States. U.S. health authorities have not been testing every possible case because of backlogs and the high number of viruses that can cause flu symptoms. In Mexico, classes resumed Thursday in universities and high schools, but face masks were still recommended on public transit and required for workers in reopened restaurants. With election season underway, the government's handling of the epidemic has become an issue of debate.
